Modern dance is the freedom of movement to music, its a great way to express yourself and to enjoy dance.

Modern dance can be energetic and dynamic or softer and more relaxed lyrical movements. These two main styles of Modern are learnt together so the dancer can show the contrast between them. Modern dance has many of the same discipline rules as Ballet and so the two styles go well together, many dancers will study both.

We follow the new Modern dance syllabus, its fun, fast and full of life! It really is the perfect way to let the music lead you in dance.

We have Modern classes for our younger dancers to start the fun filled Modern syllabus right up to adult classes, Modern dance has such a good energy behind it.

Modern dance is great for improving flexibility and strength. the fun and exciting ways in which the dancers learn to move their bodies to the music is shown throughout the classes.

The children have the opportunity to take graded exams or to follow the reward path within the class.
